This is a long established Wimbledon medical practice, Dr Bellilos was the Principal in 1929. He travelled around on a bicycle, ringing his bell to attract patients from their homes if they needed a doctor. Later, Dr Tudor-Miles joined the practice and also Dr Sven Bather, both doctors leaving the practice for war service between 1939 and 1945. After the war Dr Bather returned from the Navy and Dr Grace Mitchell was the new partner.
Following the introduction of the National Health Service there were initially two surgeries, one in Haydons Road and one in Queens Road but the partnership moved to the present premises, 51 Princes Road, some 30 years ago. The driving force behind this move being Dr Grace Mitchell. Dr Mark O’Neill and Dr John Reynolds joined the practice in the 1960s, retiring respectively in 1990 and 1999.
